The access in the Main Hall required extensive use of our mobile scaffolding towers which had to be built around the original beams and trusses. Plasterers also took ad-vantage of our towers to carry out high-level plastering repairs at the same time.
The ceiling, walls and woodwork were all painted in a hard-wearing, water-based Dulux Paint System which ensures a long-lasting finish whilst at the same time providing a minimum impact on the environment.
As with all our projects, the empty tins were brought back to our premises, crushed and recycled. The colours (chosen by the University) in the Main Hall, were picked to blend with the uni corporate colours and resulted in a great subtle colour scheme which looked completely at home in the old style Main Hall.
